Lily's Morning Ritual

Yes, just like dad...Lily loves the tub. We figured you might get a kick out of seeing some video of her splash away on a Saturday morning!

Been a while!

Hey, hope everyone is well...
Beena while since we have posted. I have been traveling like a maniac with work so Jenny has been holding down the fort. In fact, I got stuck in Denver on Friday and thankfully I got a Saturday morning flight. Technically, they said I was stuck there until Monday!
Well, Lily is doing great. She finally seems to be over her colds and is now sleeping better. We made the trip to Toronto in February and she got to see all of her relatives again. Below, a picture with her Great Grandma!





She is also becoming more mobile, rolling over tons and has really found her voice. She is very noisy in the mornings and just very excited to be getting out of her crib. One of the greatest inventions ever is the thing that Alex and Julie Bloom gave us. The exersaucer (not sure if that is the right way to spell it, but close enough) is killer! Lily can spend tons of time in there playing around. Check it out below!

Lily Rolls Over!!!

OK...so picture this...Jenny takes a much deserved 1.5 hour break to run out and do a few things this aft. Matt is ok with this since he went out and bought an XBOX 360 this morning and got to spend a few hours chilling with Lily taking on Tiger Woods.
After fiddling with the Xbox, i heard Lily jabbering away, looked down and she had managed to roll herself over! IT was cool, but she was stunned. Immediately, I grabbed the camera to see if she would do it again...and behold, the video footage. Yes folks, this is rollover #2 in Lily's life. A big moment at 4 months, 14 days!

Gotta Love the BUMBO

Gotta love the BUMBO...yes you do! What is the BUMBO you ask? It just so happens to be this cool little chair that Lily sits in to enjoy her 7 spoonfuls of Rice Cereal every night. As you can see, it acts as a bit of a La-Z-Boy for babies. It works perfect! If any of you have babies out there...go get the BUMBO.

Let the eating begin!

Yep folks, Lily is now eating real food. Well, it can hardly be called real food. It is rice cereal for babies. Essentially, powdered flakes of rice mixed with a bit of water. As you can see, she hardly gets any of it in her mouth...and just as you manage to get a bunch in her mouth, she jams her thumb in her mouth and it all comes out.
Also thought you might want to see a little video of out little Lily...this one isn't too exciting. Just Lily chilling on her blanket watching a little football...with Pheobe giving her a few kisses on her fingers...

Time for a big update!

OK...so I think it has been forever since we've updated you all.

Things have been great, and our little Lily is growing! She is now up over 15 pounds! Currently, her dual ear infections are causing both her mom and Lily some sleepless nights.

We went up to Toronto for Christmas and got to spend some time with my family. Lily got to spend lots of quality time with Grandma Gillis and Great Gram Menary. Additionally, Uncle Steve and Auntie Danielle (the newlyweds) dropped in as soon as they got home from Bora Bora. We got this AWESOME picture...timed just right!

We spent Christmas at Uncle John and Auntie Debs...as usual, it was awesome. Little Lily was having fun being held by literally everyone at some point in the night. Here are a few other pics from Christmas.

We then spent the week after Christmas back in Maryland with Jenny's family. Jenny's Aunt Karen and Uncle Art got to see Lily for the first time along with her cousins. It was lots of fun.

On New Years Eve day, Brandon (Jenny's bro) and I went to see the Ravens beat the Bills. Decent seats, but it rained like mad!

Since then, it has been business as usual for us. Back to work, back to the travel starting next week with a trip to Little Rock! Jenny heads to a photo shoot with her mom and Grandma Barnes next week...should be fun for them, and if we get some proofs, we'll put them up here!

Lily started eating baby cereal this week, so I fully expect to put up some pics of that in the coming days...until then, take care and we'll chat soon!
